Chaudhary, the editor-in-chief of Zee News, regretfully deleted the tweet about Nepal

Sudhir Chaudhary, Editor-in-Chief of India's Zee News, has deleted a controversial tweet about Nepal.

Zee News had spread misleading news about Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the Chinese Ambassador to Kathmandu. Which was widely protested in Nepal.

Cable operators in Nepal shut down Indian news channels on Thursday in protest of such misleading news.

After shutting down the news channels, Editor-in-Chief Chaudhary tweeted that there was no need for an army that Nepalis feared with Indian journalists.

Earlier, the Indian media had compared Nepal and India's army during the controversy that started after Nepal released its new map.

Chaudhary said that he deleted the tweet after his tweet on Friday said that Nepalis were hurt and that the idea was not right by the Indians.

'This tweet of mine has hurt our viewers in Nepal. Even here in India, many people have written that this idea is not correct. Maybe I reacted angrily when the news came. This platform is for expression, not to be hurt. So sorry I deleted this tweet, 'he wrote on Twitter.
