Preparations to start the construction work of the tower stopped in the Dharhara, the work on the 10th floor has been completed

Kathmandu: The construction work of the tower, which has been halted in the Dharhara, will start in two to three days. The work of the tower will start after three and a half months as other works were being done in the tower during the lockdown.

Rajuman Manandhar, a property expert of the National Reconstruction Authority, said that the workers working on the construction of the tower are currently watching the reconstruction of the tower in quarantine. According to him, 110 workers who went home during the strike have now come to Kathmandu.

They are preparing to test the PCR today. Work on the 11th floor of the tower will begin only after their corona test report is negative. Work on the tenth floor of the tower has already been completed. Chief Executive Officer of the National Reconstruction Authority Sushil Gyawali said that 39 percent work of the tower has been completed.

Work on the 10th floor of the tower is now underway and 40 workers are working daily. The tower will have observation room as well as museum, water fountain, garden, restaurant, state-of-the-art parking. A team including the chairperson of the House of Representatives, Development and Technology Committee also inspected the Ranipokhari and the wooden pavilion including the tower.

The team including the chairperson of the committee Kalyani Kumari Khadka has observed all the three properties on the spot and responded that the work is being done satisfactorily. After the observation, the committee members at the meeting hall of the National Reconstruction Authority also got information about the recent condition of the main administrative building Singha Durbar.

NEA Chief Executive Officer Gyawali said that the reconstruction works including Dharhara, Ranipokhari and Singha Durbar have been started following all the standards of health security. Earlier, a sub-committee of the International Relations Committee of the House of Representatives had also observed the Dharhara and Ranipokhari.
