Indian PM, Modi's account hacked - Twitter

KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's personal Twitter account has been hacked.

There was a series of tweets from Modi's account requesting assistance to the relief fund through cryptocurrency. Twitter has confirmed that the account of Indian Prime Minister Modi has been hacked, according to the BBC.

Tweets appealing to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for assistance through cryptocurrency have now been removed. Twitter reported that the account had been hacked and that necessary steps had been taken to secure it.

Earlier in the day, a similar attack took place on the accounts of US presidential candidate Joe Biden and Tesla founder Alan Musk.
