Pakistan objected India's decision to celebrates 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' on August 14

Pakistan has strongly objected to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to mark August 14 as "Partition Horror Memorial Day". August 14 is Pakistan's Independence Day.

Following Prime Minister Modi's announcement, Pakistan's foreign ministry tweeted against it from its Twitter account. Pakistan's foreign ministry said: "What the Indian prime minister has tweeted about the 1947 incident proves that no modern country is as contradictory to itself as the so-called 'world's largest democracy."

The Pakistani side has said, "It is the efficiency of the RSS-BJP regime to misrepresent history and incite communalism." Instead of trying to recover, they wallow in their sadness and thus, experience more failure. We believe that the goodwill of the people of India will put an end to this political stunt.'
